Workshop on the Ancient Quarries / Ημερίδα για τα Αρχαία Λατομεία

Η σημερινή κατάσταση των αρχαίων λατομείων είναι λυπηρή. Aποτελεί πηγή συνεχούς απογοήτευσης των χιλιάδων επισκεπτών στην Πάρο και χαρακτηρίζεται από μακροχρόνια απραξία των αρμοδίων αρχών. Το θέμα των αρχαίων λατομείων της Πάρου είναι πολύπλευρο και οι λύσεις χρειάζονται τη συμβολή όλων μας. Γι’ αυτό το λόγο, οι Φίλοι της Πάρου μαζί με άλλους τοπικούς φορείς ξεκινούν μία πρωτοβουλία με σκοπό να οδηγήσει σε ένα πρόγραμμα δράσης για την προστασία και ανάδειξη των αρχαίων λατομείων.

The current situation of the ancient quarries is sad. It is a source of constant disappointment for thousands of visitors to Paros and is characterized by long-term inaction by the competent authorities. The issue of the ancient quarries on Paros is multifaceted and solutions need all of us to contribute. For this reason, the Friends of Paros, together with other local authorities, are launching an initiative to lead an action plan for the protection and promotion of the ancient quarries.
