Event Description

Free Intro to Natural Rhythms class Saturday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. at Central School of Ballet in Naoussa. This is a joyful journey into body wisdom through dance. When we listen and allow our bodies to express freely we bring harmonization within our system. The main intention of this work is to create a safe space to flow into our natural movement and rhythm, play with different qualities and support others in doing so.

As in life, in the dance floor we move in space, with different rhythms, we meet others, we move closer, we move away, we go in, we go out, we stop, we start again, etc.. Dancing with awareness allow us to include and be playful with all that we feel and think, it allow us to observe our patterns and create new possibilities.

Some of the themes we will explore are the connection to the elements of nature, embodied anatomy, joint release and alignment work.

Classes will take place every Saturday from 18:00 to 19:30 at the Central School of Ballet in Naoussa.

About Eva Echeverri:

I am a 42 years old Colombian therapist and dancer. While completing my university political science and history studies in Andes University in Bogota (20 years ago) I decided to focus on the politics of the self and on the question of how to liberate ourselves from the imposed beliefs that block our authenticity. This decision took me on a lifetime journey where I continue to explore and study different healing arts, shamanism, meditation and dance. In time, my focus has shifted more towards ways to listen closely to the energy flow in the body and nature and support its harmonization. My work with Natural Rhythms has been influenced by my studies in dance (butoh, contemporary, five rhythms), voice (voicing method, vocal roots journey, shamanic singing) and Qi gong as well as my professional practice in the healing arts (Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Ayurvedic Marma Therapy, Quiromassage, Chi Nei Tsang and Inlove therapy). In the last years I have moved between Paros, Athens, and Barranquilla (Colombia) where I work giving therapies, classes and workshops on dance, energy healing and massage.
