Hi Nikos, many thanks for your reply. You're correct in that my name is rather uncommon, I didn't realise that there were Irish people living on Paros in the 1970s, I will certainly look that up, but I have no connection to the story. My first experience of Paros was in the 1980s, I have been back many times but not as much as I would like, and definitely share the opinion of earthly paradise.
Once again, thank you, perhaps we'll meet sometime in lovely Paros.
Hi Nikos, I'm trying to trace some old friends who we met in Paros many years ago. Their names:w Andreas & Manoli Maletestas, Their family originated from Paros but were living in Athens, working as silver jewelers. They had cousins on Paros who were also in the silver business, and another cousin called kostas Kritsis who shared holidays on Paros. Their house was a few KM west from Parikia on the hill overlooking the sea. I have been back to Paros but was unable to find a link to my old friends, I wonder does your surname have any link to them?
